Bimbo Bakeries USA and WK Kellogg Co have developed a limited-edition bagel product featuring Thomas’ bagels and Froot Loops cereal flavors. The bagel comes in a pre-sliced miniature format for convenient, on-the-go breakfast occasions.
Frito-Lay North America, a business unit of PepsiCo, Inc., is launching its new global flavors lineup inspired by dishes from Greece, India and Korea. The limited-time additions include wavy tzatziki, with flavor notes of yogurt, lemon, dill and garlic; masala, featuring a blend of spices such as cumin, coriander, turmeric and pepper; and honey butter, featuring buttermilk honey and butter tastes, according to the company.
“Our fans often post about the fun flavors they see while traveling abroad and continuously ask for them here,” said Tina Mahal, senior vice president of marketing, PepsiCo Foods North America. “Now, at the height of travel season, we’re excited to make those dreams a reality and bring them adventure through every bite of our global flavors lineup.”
Equii, a manufacturer of grain-based products utilizing plant-based proteins, is making its debut in the pasta category. Joining the company’s existing line of bread products, Equii’s pastas are derived from the brand’s complete protein flour formulated through fermentation. Products in the pasta line include macaroni and cheese, with 19 grams of protein and 6 grams of fiber per 3.5-oz serving, and rigatoni noodles, with 28 grams of protein and 10 grams of fiber per serving.
“The introduction of Equii rigatoni and mac and cheese to the pasta category allows us to stand out amongst competitors and empower consumers to eat without compromising on foods they love,” said Monica Bhatia, co-founder and co-chief executive officer of Equii. “And with the added benefit of complete protein, these new pastas offer balanced nutrition for all ages and dietary needs.”
Bob’s Red Mill has debuted three new varieties of pancake and waffle mixes, which are ready to make after combining with water. Flavors include homestyle buttermilk pancake and waffle mix, chocolate chip and banana pancake and waffle mix, and white chocolate and strawberry pancake and waffle mix.
Mars, Inc. is adding to its Kind Snacks bar line with the launch of new Kind Kids bars in two varieties: chocolate chip and blueberry muffin. The soft-baked bars are made with whole grain oats, feature 5 grams of protein per bar, are gluten-free and have no artificial flavors or colors, according to the company. Kind Kids bars are available nationwide in 5-count boxes at a suggested retail price of $4.99.
Tyson Foods has launched Razorback Nuggets, bite-size chicken nuggets that are designed to mimic the look of the University of Arkansas mascot. The frozen, fully cooked, breaded patties made from white chicken meat include 13 grams of protein per serving and can be prepared using an air fryer in about seven minutes. The Razorback Nuggets join Tyson’s other themed nugget products, including Spooky Nuggets and child-focused Dino Nuggets.
“Most of our team members are huge Razorback fans and our consumers have been calling for a way to celebrate their team,” said Kristina Lambert, senior vice president and general manager of Tyson’s retail value-added poultry. “We’ve listened and are excited to deliver Tyson Razorback Nuggets to Arkansas fans in time for the football season.”
Unilever subsidiary Ben & Jerry’s has unveiled a new ice cream variety ahead of the 2024 US presidential election. The limited time Churn Out the Vote flavor features pretzel swirls, fudge chips and chocolate mousse with a vanilla ice cream base. The product is now available through Election Day on Tuesday, Nov. 5.
The Keebler Co., a Ferrero Group brand, has partnered with Warner Bros. Discovery Global Consumer Products to launch limited-edition “Beetlejuice Beetlejuice” dark chocolate and vanilla fudge stripes to commemorate the upcoming sequel. The cookie offering features a “first-of-its-kind” black-and-white format: a dark chocolate shortbread cookie topped with vanilla-flavored fudge stripes that mimic Beetlejuice’s suit, Keebler said.
Nespresso USA is launching a line of honey-based products dubbed Nespresso Bloom. The lineup includes coffee blossom honey, raw honey with floral, caramel and vanilla flavor notes, and coffee blossom honey syrup, a blend of the coffee blossom honey infused with Nespresso coffee.
