Limited-time offerings feature holiday flavors and format innovations.
Wendy’s is expanding its menu with three fall menu options. Additions range from the mushroom bacon burger, which features Muenster cheese, roasted mushrooms, bacon and a garlic spread, to the reimagined taco salad, with a new salsa dressing, roasted corn, tortilla strips and chili.
The company also has added a frosty variety, salted caramel.
Red Lobster has launched an overhauled menu which features seven new items. Among the dishes are lobster pappardelle pasta, bacon-wrapped sea scallops, lobster bisque, lemon basil mahi, simply prepared mahi, parmesan-crusted chicken and roasted asparagus.
“We’re thrilled to give our guests more reasons to celebrate this season with the launch of our new menu,” said Nichole Robillard, chief marketing officer at Red Lobster.
Convenience chain 7-Eleven, Inc. has unveiled its seasonal food and beverage offerings. Holiday-inspired drinks include the peppermint mocha cappuccino and the peppermint mocha cold brew latte, and the food items include the cookie butter croissant, filled with cookie butter spread and topped with brown sugar, and the holiday donut, a raised donut with white icing and red and white sprinkles.
“From peppermint mochas to croissants, 7-Eleven has all the holiday coffee flavors and baked treats to bring warmth and festive vibes to our customers,” said Marissa Jarratt, executive vice president and chief marketing and sustainability officer at 7-Eleven, Inc.
Panera has launched a line of products inspired by fan-favorite soup and sandwich dipping combinations. The limited-edition ciabatta dippers come in French dipper and spicy chicken dipper varieties. The former offers marinated steak, provolone cheese, asiago cheese and a garlic aioli drizzle with a dipping portion of french onion soup, and the latter features grilled chicken, salsa verde and provolone cheese with tomato soup.
Fast-casual foodservice chain Noodles & Co. is testing a line of specialty macaroni and cheese dishes in select markets. Available at locations in Colorado, Ohio and Illinois, the line features Buffalo chicken ranch macaroni and cheese, with elbow noodles in a cheddar and jack cheese sauce, green onions, crisped onions Parmesan-crusted chicken, Buffalo sauce, and ranch; garlic bacon ranch macaroni and cheese, with elbow noodles in a garlic cheddar sauce, bacon, crisped onions, Parmesan cheese and herbs; and pulled pork barbecue macaroni and cheese, with elbow noodles in cheddar and jack cheese sauce, pulled pork, barbecue sauce, green onions and crisped onions.
“Our new specialty mac and cheese menu marks an exciting step forward for Noodles & Co. as we continue to elevate our offerings, including the cornerstone of our menu — mac and cheese,” said Scott Davis, chief concept officer at Noodles & Co.
P.F. Chang’s has added fried chicken varieties to its menu for the first time. The Korean fried chicken, in bone-in and boneless formats, comes coated in a five spice, dry-rub seasoning or tossed in a sweet and spicy Korean sauce.
The restaurant also will offer Taiwanese popcorn chicken made with boneless chicken thigh, the dry-rub seasoning, roasted guajillo chili and basil leaves.
Jack in the Box has developed the sourdough smashed Jack in response to the popularity of its smashed burger format that launched last year. The limited-time item combines a quarter pound smashed burger patty topped with American cheese, pickles, grilled onions and Jack’s Boss Sauce with the company’s sourdough bread.
