Subway has debuted a seasonal, limited-edition variety of its footlong cookie: double chocolate peppermint. The item features double chocolate chip cookie dough made with chocolate and white chips, red and white candy cane pieces, and peppermint extract.

Barilla is innovating on its traditional pasta format with snowfall pasta. The product features seasonal shapes: snowflakes, poinsettias and hearts.

“Barilla has a long and proud history of bringing people together over shared meals, especially during the most wonderful time of the year,” said Angie Cotter, US pasta category marketing director at Barilla.

Convenience chain 7-Eleven, Inc. launched its winter food and beverage items. Holiday-inspired drinks include the peppermint mocha cappuccino and the peppermint mocha cold brew latte, and food offerings include the cookie butter croissant filled with cookie butter spread and topped with brown sugar, and the holiday donut, a raised donut with white icing and red and white sprinkles.

“From peppermint mochas to croissants, 7-Eleven has all the holiday coffee flavors and baked treats to bring warmth and festive vibes to our customers,” said Marissa Jarratt, executive vice president and chief marketing and sustainability officer at 7-Eleven, Inc.

Just Born Quality Confections expanded its line of Peeps marshmallow products with six offerings. The products come in such varieties as marshmallow men, marshmallow trees, marshmallow gingerbread men, marshmallow stockings, candy cane-flavored marshmallow chicks and a vanilla crème-flavored pop.

Caribou Coffee, a Panera Brands portfolio company, launched two holiday beverages and two seasonal menu items. Among the drinks are the cranberry dark chocolate espresso shaker, espresso mixed with cranberry, dark chocolate, all shaken with ice and topped with oat milk, and the cranberry energy drink, a sparkling cranberry beverage topped with coconut milk cold foam. Caribou’s food additions include the eggs benedict sandwich, with Canadian bacon, hollandaise sauce and a cage-free egg on an English muffin, and the chocolate truffle brownie.

“This year, we've seen great success with seasonal offerings,” said Matt Reiter, senior vice president of product and procurement at Caribou Coffee. “Building on that momentum, we’re excited to add cranberry to our popular energy drink and espresso shaker platforms, bringing a quintessential holiday flavor to our menu.”

Entenmann's Little Bites Snacks, a Bimbo Bakeries USA brand, launched hot cocoa with marshmallow muffins. The snacks combine chocolate and miniature marshmallows with a formulation free from high fructose corn syrup.

Dunkin’ is jumping into the holiday season with its holiday cookie signature latte. The beverage features espresso blended whole milk, whipped cream, a drizzle of caramel, and cookie butter crumbles to create buttery cookie and toasted almond flavor notes, according to the company.

Dunkin’s holiday offerings also include the almond croissant, an all-butter croissant filled with almond paste and topped with slivered almonds.

Pepperidge Farm, a Campbell’s Co. brand, is launching Thin & Crispy peppermint cocoa cookies. The chocolate cookies are topped with peppermint chips and mark the first Thin & Crusty style cookies in the company’s holiday cookie line, according to Pepperidge Farm.

Cracker Barrel Old Country Store launched two limited-time seasonal menu offerings. The cinnamon swirl French toast breakfast combines cinnamon streusel bread dipped in Cracker Barrel’s batter with toppings like cinnamon and cream cheese icing, and the sparkling plum mimosa mixes a sparkling wine blend with winter fruit flavors and a sprinkle of edible gold glitter.

“We’re thrilled to usher in a holiday menu filled with returning guest favorites and new crave-worthy dishes decked out for the season,” said Sarah Moore, chief marketing officer at Cracker Barrel.

Pladis Global pretzel brand Flipz released two snack varieties inspired by holiday flavors. The snickerdoodle and peppermint hot cocoa pretzels will be available for a limited time.

“Flipz innovation is driven by desire to address consumers’ love of sweet, salty and crunchy combinations,” said Shivani Arora, marketing director, pladis Americas. “This year we’re thrilled to help consumers celebrate the magic of holidays with the flavors they crave.”

Tim Hortons has added three items to its holiday menu. The snowman donut features vanilla-flavored icing decorated like a snowman face and sweet cream filling, the holiday sugar dream cookie combines a white chocolate chip sugar cookie with red and green sprinkles, vanilla-flavored icing, peppermint bark crumbles and a miniature gingerbread man cookie, and the holiday chai latte comes in hot or iced formats with peppermint and gingerbread flavors.
