Danone North America coffee maker STōK Cold Brew launched its first decaffeinated product line amid increased demand for decaf options among Gen Z coffee drinkers. The 48-oz, multi-serve beverage is available in unsweetened and “not too sweet” varieties.

Rebbl, a SYSTM Foods brand, unveiled protein shakes made with AB InBev’s EverPro upcycled barley proteins. The ready-to-drink beverage offers 26 grams of protein and 4 grams of sugar per serving, with flavors such as chocolate, vanilla and cookies and cream.

“Upcycling barley into a premium protein source utilizes every part of this powerful ancient grain, repurposing vital nutrients back into the food chain while delivering the high-quality nutrition our consumers expect,” said Andy Fathollahi, chief executive officer of SYSTM Foods.

Lifeway Foods, Inc. debuted functional beverages formulated with collagen and kefir cultures. The Probiotic Smoothie + Collagen line features a lactose-free formulation and contains 5 grams of collagen in each serving. Flavors include matcha latte, berry, tropical fruit and plain.

“We tracked a surge of consumer interest for kefir's holistic benefits and knew the market was ready for our Probiotic Smoothie + Collagen,” said Julie Smolyansky, president and chief executive officer of Lifeway Foods.

Chobani entered the high-protein yogurt category with Chobani High Protein. The product line features Greek yogurt beverages formulated from fruit, ingredients perceived as natural and zero added sugars. The product is available in 7-oz, 10-oz and 14-oz formats, with 15 grams, 20 grams and 30 grams of protein, respectively. Varieties include strawberries and cream, tropical punch, mixed berry vanilla, cookies and cream, peaches and cream, vanilla and cherry vanilla.

“The desire for high protein, lower sugar offerings has moved beyond the hardcore fitness community and made its way to the mainstream consumer,” said Niel Sandfort, chief innovation officer at Chobani. “Underneath the desire for more functional food is a shift in mindset where strength and positive nutrition, namely protein, is taking the place of calorie deprivation and cardio.”

Anheuser-Busch is set to release the first non-alcoholic beer under its Michelob Ultra brand next month. The beverage is brewed through an alcohol-removing process that results in zero percent alcohol by volume and 29 calories per serving.

Lala US added a series of drinkable, high-protein yogurt beverages to its dairy-based product portfolio. Each 10-oz serving of Lala Gold contains 25 grams of protein and 6 grams of fiber. Lala Gold is available in raspberry key lime, blueberry, cookies and cream, vanilla and strawberry flavor options.

90+ Cellars branched into the non-alcoholic beverage segment with its recently launched dealcoholized sparkling wines. Made using traditional winemaking methods, the products have their alcohol content removed through reverse osmosis. The low-calorie, low-sugar products are available in sparkling brut and sparkling rosé varieties.

“Drinking culture, especially in younger generations, is changing,” said Alexandra Shaughnessy, wine director at 90+ Cellars. “This growing interest, in addition to the meteoric rise in sparkling wine consumption in recent years, makes us believe this is the perfect time to enter the market."

Nurri, a manufacturer of better-for-you beverages, launched its flagship protein milkshake product. The ready-to-drink beverage is formulated using ultra-filtered milk, creating a lactose free offering with 30 grams of protein and 1 gram of sugar per 11-oz serving. Nurri’s product can be enjoyed as a standalone beverage, served chilled, over ice or at room temperature, or mixed with coffee.

“With rising demands and significant supply constraints in the ultra-filtered milk protein beverage market, we saw a unique opportunity to bring something fresh and different,” said Tom Lehocky, vice president of sales at Nurri.

Danone North America plant-based beverage company Silk developed its first offering aimed specifically at children aged 5 and older. Formulated from a blend of oats and peas, Silk Kids contains 8 grams of protein per serving and comes in a 59-oz, multi-serve format.

“Delivering on both taste and nutrition is imperative, especially when it comes to nourishing kids,” said Kristie Leigh, registered dietitian and director of nutrition and scientific affairs at Danone North America. “That’s why we developed Silk Kids – to provide targeted nutrition kids need in a plant-based beverage they’ll love, because mealtime shouldn’t be a struggle.”

Juice manufacturer Langers entered the soft drink category with a line of carbonated cola beverages. Available in Craft Cola and Craft Cola Zero varieties, the drinks are formulated using cane sugar, stevia leaf extract and natural caffeine derived from tea.

“Our family wants to bring back the nostalgic, real cane sugar experience of cola without the harmful, unhealthy ingredients that have infiltrated many soda brands over time,” said Bruce Langer, president of Langers. “We’d like people to enjoy an ice cold, fizzy can of cola with friends and know they’re drinking something clean and natural.”

Energy beverage startup Oasis launched its flagship product line. The natural caffeine products are derived from green coffee beans and guayusa, with 160 mgs of caffeine per 12-oz serving. The drinks are available in blue raspberry and strawberry kiwi flavors, with plans to add a peach mango variety.
