Menu innovations continue to center around holiday LTOs.
Krispy Kreme is embracing the holiday season with the “Merry Grinchmas Doughnut Collection.” The limited-edition collection features: the Grinch donut, an unglazed donut filled with cookies and crème filling, dipped in green icing and topped with chocolate icing and buttercream; the Grinchy Claus donut, a glazed donut covered in chocolate icing, topped with white buttercream and Christmas-colored sprinkles; and the Cindy-Lou Who Merry Berry Tree donut, a glazed donut with strawberry icing, a green buttercream tree design and sprinkles.
Marco’s Pizza is expanding its menu with two additions. Marco’s breadsticks are formulated with the company’s in-house dough, baked and then topped with garlic sauce and Romesan seasoning. The company has put a chocolate twist on its CinnaSquares product with Chocolate CinnaSquares made using Ghirardelli chocolate sauce.
“At Marco's Pizza, quality is at the forefront of everything we do — and we want to give consumers more of what they love with more variety on our menu,” said Denise Lauer, chief marketing officer of Marco's Franchising, LLC.
Pokeworks, a fast casual poke bowl chain, has launched the OG poke bowl. The menu item features ahi tuna, marinated in the company’s OG shoyu sauce, watercress, sliced onions, green onions, sesame seeds and garlic crisps.
“The OG Poke Bowl represents the best of what Pokeworks stands for: fresh ingredients, authentic inspiration, and bold flavors,” said Mike Wu, co-founder and head of culinary at Pokeworks. “The pairing of the zesty watercress with the savory OG shoyu sauce adds a unique depth, offering guests an unforgettable poke experience.”
Noodles & Company is debuting four holiday varieties of its crispy treat product, one during each week of December. Launching first is the S'mores Crispy, with rice cereal, graham crackers, chocolate chips and marshmallows.
Following the s’mores item are the Cinnamon Crunch Crispy, with rice cereal with cinnamon crunch flakes and marshmallows, the Chocolate Peppermint Crispy, with chocolate rice cereal, peppermint chocolate and marshmallows, and the Cake Batter Crispy, with rice cereal, cake batter, rainbow sprinkles and marshmallows.
Jollibee is launching signature sips, a line of made-to-order beverages. Drinks in the collection range from the tropical breeze quencher, a blend of strawberry, passionfruit, and coconut topped with mango jelly, to frozen coconut dream and strawberry bliss freezes.
Also included in the signature sips lineup are passionfruit iced tea, lychee iced tea and sweet cream cold brew.
“We’re thrilled to bring these new refreshing drinks to our customers and offer them an elevated and delightful beverage experience that complements our menu perfectly,” said Luis Velasco, senior vice president and marketing head at Jollibee Foods Corp., North America.
Sonic Drive-In has partnered with celebrities Paris Hilton and Nicole Richie to create two drink collaborations. The Paris features Sprite soda infused with dragon fruit flavor, along with lemon, lime, whipped topping and Nerds candy. The Nicole combines Dr Pepper soda with sweet cream, vanilla flavor, strawberries and whipped topping.
Paris Baguette unveiled its holiday cake menu, with items such as holiday red velvet cakes, nutcracker strawberry soft cream cakes and mocha Yule log cakes.
Also available are holiday mocha cakes, blueberry chiffon cakes, mixed berry cakes, and chocolate hazelnut cakes.
