Grimaldi’s Pizzeria debuted a line of pasta sauces to for consumers seeking to elevate their home meals. Varieties include marinara sauce, tomato basil sauce and arrabbiata sauce.

The Kraft Heinz Co. introduced an innovation under its A.1. steak sauce brand with A.1. steakhouse butter. The butter features a blend of herbs and A.1. steak sauce to create tangy flavor notes with a smooth texture, according to the company. The product is intended as an easy-to-use offering for consumers seeking to recreate restaurant-quality meals at home.

“From sauces to butter, we know our fans are constantly seeking new ways to recreate the steakhouse experience at home,” said Holland Robinson, brand manager, A.1.

Zaxbys, the Southern chicken foodservice chain, brought three of its dipping sauces to retail. Zax Sauce features tangy flavor notes and a blend of signature spices; Spicy Zax Sauce combines the Zax Sauce condiment with spicy flavors; and Tongue Torch Sauce is a spicier variety made with peppers, garlic and mustard seeds.

"Sauce has been woven into the fabric of Zaxbys since 1990, and just like our delicious chicken, customers can’t get enough of our signature sauces,” said Patrick Schwing, chief marketing and strategy officer at Zaxbys. “Our partnership with Litehouse for the retail development of our acclaimed ‘saucefolio’ will help us reach a new group of consumers, and our current fans, in grocery store aisles and online retailers.”

Summit Hill Foods unveiled Organic Beef Pho Base, the latest entry under its Better Than Bouillon brand. The product is derived from beef stock, roasted beef, ginger and anise to create a savory pho base for home cooking applications. Organic Beef Pho Base joins the brand’s Culinary Collection line, which features condiments with unique flavor combinations to aid in home meal preparations.

“With this innovative flavor base, we aim to make it easier for everyone to enjoy the delicious flavors of beef pho in their everyday cooking without compromising on quality or taste,” said Steve Goodyear, president and chief executive officer of Summit Hill Foods.

McIlhenny Co. launched Tabasco Salsa Picante, marking the brand’s first Mexican-style offering under its Tabasco Sauce brand. Packaged in a squeezable bottle to act as an easy addition to Tex-Mex dishes, the product is formulated from red jalapeño peppers and a spice blend that includes paprika and garlic powder.

Hormel Chili and C.H. Guenther & Son partnered to create a line of chili seasonings. Varieties include original, mild and white chicken chili.

Wynn’s Kitchen expanded its portfolio of better-for-you Asian condiments with Lemongrass Marinade and Stir-Fry Sauce. The product features citrus and aromatic flavors and is intended for consumers seeking convenient and globally-inspired meal solutions, according to the company.

“Lemongrass has always held a special place in my heart,” said Wynn Austin, company founder. “Its vibrant flavor is a staple in Vietnamese cooking, and I’ve always dreamed of making it accessible to everyone in a healthy, easy-to-use form.”

McCormick & Co. debuted a globally-inspired seasoning line under its Simply Asia brand. Varieties include umami ramen Japanese-style seasoning, with sesame seed, garlic, onion, ginger and shiitake mushrooms; furikake Japanese-style seasoning, with sesame seeds and dried seaweed; and spicy furikake Japanese-style seasoning, which adds red pepper to the former spice blend.

Also included in the launch are chili crunch sauce, formulated with chili peppers, onion and shallots, and bang bang seasoning, a blend of chili flakes, ginger and garlic.

Unilever brand Knorr launched Knorr Liquid Seasoning Chili, blending spicy ingredients and globally-inspired flavors. The product is formulated with chili peppers and soy sauce and is intended as a convenient and versatile addition to Asian cuisine.

“Knorr Liquid Seasoning Chili captures the essence of traditional Asian cooking, providing a convenient way for consumers to enjoy meals reminiscent of family recipes,” said Partha Guha, head of nutrition and ice cream at Unilever International North America.

Local Hive expanded its portfolio of products derived from raw honey with a hot honey condiment line. Formulated with ingredients like jalapeño, chipotle and chili peppers, the products aim to infuse a sweet and spicy flavor profile for such applications as barbecue, fried chicken and pizza.
