New protein-packed products are rolling out in retail stores.
Vital Pursuit, a Nestle brand, is introducing a line of frozen protein pizzas. Each thin-crust pizza contains 33 grams of protein and 17 grams of fiber per serving. Two flavors will be available for purchase in January 2025: Max Pro Cheese Lovers and Max Pro Chicken Mozzarella.
Flagstone Foods subsidiary Emerald Nuts has launched two nut varieties: Absolutely Everything Almonds and Hot Honey Cashews. The varieties are free from high-fructose corn syrup, artificial flavors, preservatives and synthetic colors and are non-GMO.
Norwegian Baked has collaborated with RIND by Dina & Joshua to launch Norwegian Baked Knekkebrød. The plant-based cheese snack blends the brand’s Knekkebrød with RIND’s Veggie Underground parsnip cheese.
“We’ve admired Norwegian Baked’s incredible product for years, and it was a natural fit to join forces to create something truly special for our customers,” said Dina DiCendo, co-founder of RIND.
Ocean Spray Cranberries, Inc. has released a line of zero-sugar powdered drink mixes in collaboration with Dyla Brands. White Cran x Strawberry, Cran x Grape and White Cran x Peach flavors are available for purchase.

Mondelez International brand Ritz Crackers is adding a new flavor to its Ritz Bits Cracker Sandwich line of offerings: spicy queso. The flavor will be available in February 2025.
“With spicy queso, we’re answering consumers’ demands for exciting, bold flavors and turning up the heat on the Ritz Bits you know and love,” said Steven Saenen, vice president of marketing for Ritz. “It’s a bold twist on your childhood favorite, with a kick in each mini bite.”
Cheerios, a popular General Mills brand cereal, is expanding into the protein sector with the addition of Cheerios Protein. Two flavors are offered: strawberry and cinnamon.
“Starting the day off with additional protein can help our consumers meet their nutritional needs — especially with a reliable and delicious option from a brand they already know and love,” said Emilie Knox, vice president and business unit director, Morning Foods at General Mills. “As protein continues to be an important priority for people of all ages, we specifically created Cheerios Protein with families in mind.”
Plant-based beverage company Califia Farms is debuting a single-serve matcha almond latte and chai almond latte. The beverages contain 11 grams to 13 grams of sugar per serving.
Entenmann’s, a Bimbo Bakeries USA brand, is debuting Big Chunk cookies. The square-shaped cookies are soft and chewy, according to the company, and are available in three flavors: chocolate, mint chocolate and salted caramel chocolate.

Octonuts, a plant-based snack manufacturer, is adding a line of cashew snacks and butters to its line of products. Roasted cashew flavors include gochujang and crème brulé. Churro inspired and strawberry flavored butters are available.

Snack Factory is unveiling Pop’ums, a fusion of pretzels and popcorn. The product is available in three flavors: white cheddar, golden mustard BBQ and sea salt.

Fresh Del Monte Produce Inc and Newman’s Own are partnering to introduce a line of packaged salad kits. Four salad varieties are being offered: King of the Caesars, Rodeo Remix, Italiano Magnifico and Parmesan Powerhouse.
BellRing Brands, Inc. is launching a line of sports nutrition supplements. In partnership with Post Holdings, a line of Performance Protein Shakes is available. Two flavors are offered: Fruity Pebbles and Cocoa Pebbles. Each beverage is formulated with 30 grams of protein and is packaged in 11.5-oz bottles. Dymatize also has released a line of Energyze Pre-Workout Powder. Three flavors are available in 14-oz tubs: strawberry lemonade, peach mango and lemon lime.
