Panera has debuted asiago bagel stacks, a line of limited-time sandwiches featuring asiago bagels as buns. Varieties include chicken Roma, with grilled chicken, mozzarella cheese, tomatoes, basil, arugula, salt, pepper and garlic aioli; zesty Tuscan, with grilled chicken, provolone, soppressata, basil, arugula, peppers and garlic aioli; and spicy steak, with marinated steak, provolone, arugula, red onions, peppers and a salsa verde spread.

Peet’s Coffee has added two new beverage lines to its menu. The first features protein lattes formulated with whey protein powder from Bob’s Red Mill. Each medium-sized serving contains 20 grams of protein or more, according to the company, with flavors like vanilla latte, golden latte and matcha latte.

The second line, called sparkling sips, are beverages rich in vitamins C and D to support immune system health. Flavors include golden immunity sparkling lemonade, which contains elderberry extract and cascara extract, and sparkling citrus immunity black tea.

“With Gen Z giving rise to trends like protein coffee or ‘proffee,’ our vitality menu is a game-changing way to fuel the new year,” said Kristina Roach, senior director of brand marketing at Peet’s Coffee. “We’ve found a way to combine the energizing power of coffee with the lasting benefits of protein and vitamins C & D to keep your spirits strong — without sacrificing flavor.”

Cracker Barrel Old Country Store has expanded its menu with three additions. The offerings include hand-breaded crispy tender dippers, a new variety of chicken tenders served alongside a new Nashville hot sauce, a signature saucy chicken sandwich and a chicken and dumpling soup, featuring homestyle dumplings, shredded chicken, celery, carrots and onions.

Taco Bell, a Yum! Brands subsidiary, has thrown its hat into the chicken nugget ring with its limited-time nugget line. The product combines all-white chicken meat with a jalapeño buttermilk marinade and a breading mixture made from breadcrumbs and tortilla chips. In addition to the nuggets, the company added Hidden Valley fire ranch sauce and a signature bell sauce as part of the launch.

Tim Hortons, a Restaurant Brands International subsidiary, has debuted its seasonal winter menu. Offerings include the chocolate covered strawberry iced cappuccino and the chocolate covered strawberry latte, two beverages featuring strawberry puree, chocolate syrup and additional strawberry flavors.

Tim Hortons also added two donut varieties: the coconut cream donut, a yeast donut with dipped in vanilla-flavored icing, filled with cream and topped with coconut, and the blueberry sour cream cake donut.

Bojangles is aiming to build on the success of its limited-release peach cobbler with its second cobbler offering, the Bo-Berry cobbler. The product is formulated using Bojangles’ house-made biscuits, blueberries and an icing drizzle.

“The Bo-Berry cobbler takes everything our fans love about the Bo-Berry biscuit — flaky, buttery biscuit, sweet berries and icing — and elevates it into a tasty treat.”

Jack in the Box is launching two varieties of Jacks wraps nationwide following their success in test markets. The fajita Jack wrap features grilled or crispy chicken strips, caramelized onions, shredded cheddar cheese, shredded lettuce, tomato and chipotle ranch in a tortilla wrap. The Caesar Jack wrap features grilled or crispy chicken strips, shredded lettuce, tomato and Caesar dressing in a tortilla wrap.

CKE Restaurant Holdings, Inc. portfolio company Hardee’s has launched a seasonal line of maple-flavored items.

The launch includes: the maple biscuit, topped with an icing drizzle; the sausage maple biscuit, featuring a sausage patty in between a maple-flavored biscuit; the maple bacon super biscuit, with cherrywood-smoked bacon, American cheese, a fried egg, caramelized maple and sugar on a maple-flavored biscuit; and the maple bacon frisco, combining a beef patty, four strips of maple bacon, Swiss cheese, tomatoes and mayo on sourdough bread.
