New snack products are entering the category.
The Kraft Heinz Co. is launching a new snack: Lunchables PB&J. The crustless sandwich is a dippable, no thaw crustless peanut butter and jelly available in grape and strawberry varieties.
“The launch of Lunchables PB&J is a continuation in our mission to reinvent the refrigerated category by providing high quality, delicious, affordable and convenient solutions for snack time and beyond,” said Danni Levin, associate director of innovation, Lunchables. “We’re remixing a classic, delivering on parents’ desire for convenience and kids’ love of dipping and customizing — PB&Js will never be the same.”
Organic food brand Amylu Foods is unveiling chicken sausages. The product is available in apple, sweet Italian, spinach and feta, and basil and cracked pepper flavors.
“Our customers are increasingly seeking organic, clean label protein options that don’t sacrifice flavor or quality — and this new line is our answer to that demand,” said Ashlee Leo, vice president of marketing at Amylu Foods. “We’ve seen incredible success with our organic chicken burgers and meatballs, and the launch of our organic chicken sausage line is a natural next step as we expand our portfolio. As the market continues to shift toward natural, convenient sources of protein, we’re proud to offer a product that meets those expectations with real ingredients, bold flavor, and the trusted quality Amylu Foods is known for.”
Palermo Villa, Inc. is collaborating with Kellanova to roll out Cheez-It frozen pizzas. The 12-inch, ultra-thin pizza crust is original Cheez-It flavored. The pizza is available in Italian four cheese, pepperoni and cheddar jack cheese varieties.
“Cheez-It frozen pizza brings the best of both categories,” said Nick Fallucca, chief innovation officer for Palermo. “This starts with the crust, which is like a large Cheez-It flavored cracker — crispy, cheesy, and square-shaped. It’s then topped with customer-favorite toppings that perfectly complement the crust.”
The J.M. Smucker Co. is adding to its Café Bustelo brand with four new coffee varieties: light roast, medium roast, dark roast and dulce de leche.
“We’re excited to bring a variety of new roasts to consumers,” said Lee Lust, director of marketing for Café Bustelo. “Every new offering brings fresh flavor profiles to our existing ground coffee lineup, and we can’t wait for everyone to find another favorite form of Café Bustelo.”
American media personality Khloé Kardashian is joining the protein craze with the launch of Khloud Protein Popcorn. The snack is formulated with whole grain corn and seasoned with “Khloud dust,” a blend of milk proteins and seasonings. The non-GMO, gluten-free, and kosher snack offers 7 grams of protein per serving and is available in three flavors: olive oil and sea salt, sweet and salty kettle corn and white cheddar.
“As a busy mom, I wanted to create a snack brand that did more, with no trade offs,” Kardashian said. “Our first product is a protein popcorn that tastes amazing, is made with real ingredients that you can pronounce, contains no seed oils, and is an easy source of protein on even your busiest days. I can’t wait for everyone to try it.”
3pm, LLC is debuting its 3pm Afternoon Bites. The plant-based snack is formulated with protein, Immuse LC-Plasmapostbiotic and fiber and features low added sugar, fat and sodium, according to the company. The product is available in cranberry/flaxseed and dark chocolate/almond varieties.

In another collaboration, Palermo Villa, Inc. has partnered with Mizkan America, Inc. to unveil Ragu-inspired frozen pizzas. The pizzas will be offered in cheese, combination, pepperoni and supreme. Each pizza will feature a Ragu-inspired sauce.

McCormick & Co. brand Cholula is growing its portfolio with the addition of 11 new products. The company is adding new cooking sauces, cremosa toppings, chamoy, chili crips, seasoning mixes and original hot salsa. The cooking sauces include original taco, fajita, carne asada and birria sauce varieties. The cremosa toppings include creamy cilantro lime and chipotle sauce varieties. The taco seasoning mixes include original fajita and pork carnitas flavors.
“Today’s consumers are craving more adventurous taste experiences, and Mexican cuisine is leading the way,” said Valda Coryat, North America vice president of marketing for McCormick & Co. “With these new product innovations, we’re enabling consumers to explore the distinctiveness of Mexican cooking in their everyday lives by opening the door to new, flavorful ways to experience Cholula.”
Hiya Health Products LLC is shaking up the children’s health category with Kids Daily Hydration, a powder formulated with nutrients and electrolytes to support hydration and wellness. The sugar-free powder is formulated with inulin, citric acid, coconut water, strawberry fruit, potassium citrate, magnesium glycinate chelate, raspberries, blueberries, cherries, oranges, Himalayan pink salt, lemons, monk fruit extract, and stevia leaf extract. The powder offers potassium, prebiotic fiber, sodium, magnesium, vitamin C, iron and calcium per scoop.

Beyond Meat is debuting Beyond Chicken Pieces, a plant-based, un-breaded chicken product. The product is formulated with avocado oil and ingredients perceived to be natural. Each serving offers 21 grams of protein and 0.5 grams of saturated fat. The chicken bites are free from cholesterol, GMOs, and added hormones and antibiotics.

Ferrero North America brand Keebler is rolling out a new line of fudge cookies: the E.L. Fudge Choco Vanilla cookies. The cookies feature a vanilla-flavored crème sandwiched between two chocolate fudge cookies.
