A variety of innovations were on display at the May show.
Mondelez International, Inc. is launching a line of reduced sugar protein bars under its Clif brand. Joining the Builders product line, the bars feature 5 grams of sugar and 16 grams of protein per bar. Flavors include peanut butter chocolate and almond salted caramel.
The company also added an Oreo-flavored bar to its Builders line. The variety contains 20 grams of protein per serving.
Bauducco launched a line of s’mores kits featuring the company’s chocolate biscuits. The kit includes 20 “choco” biscuits, which feature a biscuit cookie base and layer of chocolate, and 20 marshmallows.
The company also added a line of wafer rolls for an on-the-go cookie snack, with flavors such as chocolate hazelnut and vanilla.
Frigo added Cheddarella string cheese under its Cheese Heads brand. The product combines the most popular variety of cheese in the US with the most popular cheese format, according to the company. Frigo’s Cheddarella is formulated using cheddar cheese and low-moisture part skim mozzarella.
Jack Link’s unveiled a collaboration with YouTube personality MrBeast. The collection includes varieties such as original and teriyaki beef sticks, miniature turkey sticks, tender bites and zero sugar beef sticks.
Flipz expanded its permanent line of coated pretzel snacks with a blueberry donut variety. The company also debuted upcoming limited time seasonal flavors, such as its fried chocolatey sandwich cookie for this summer, apple cider donut for the fall and sugar cookie for the winter holidays.
Kellanova unveiled a line of high protein bars under its RXBAR brand. The bars feature 18 grams of plant-based pea protein per serving and are sweetened with agave nectar. Flavors include vanilla peanut butter and strawberry peanut butter.
Freestyle Snacks debuted its latest olive snack offerings with original green olives and its Mediterranean herbs olive medley. The olives feature a low calorie, sugar free formulation and marinated in extra virgin olive oil.
Nutella, a Ferrero brand, unveiled its first innovation in over 60 years, according to the company. Nutella peanut spread combines the brand’s cocoa hazelnut flavor with a blend of roasted peanuts. The product will become available in spring 2026.
Jackson’s launched Super Veggie Straws, a clean label snack offering free from the top nine allergens. The straws are formulated from yellow peas, brown rice, cassava and sweet potato and are fried in avocado oil. Flavors include sea salt, cheddar and ranch.
The Original Doughbrik’s Snacks, a company founded by YouTube personality and influencer David Dobrik, unveiled its latest innovation, Wavers. The chip snacks are aimed at consumers seeking lower-calorie offerings, with each serving containing 140 calories. The product is also non-GMO and is formulated free from artificial flavors and preservatives.
Flavors include late night pizza, spicy pickle, extra cheesy and hot honey.
Vermont Smoke & Cure expanded its portfolio of meat snacks with a new format. The brand has added miniature meat sticks to its product line for consumers interested in smaller portion sizes and lunchbox-friendly products. The smaller format includes varieties like original beef and pork, hickory smoked uncured bacon pork, and barbecue seasoned beef.
Olyra unveiled its latest fruit snack innovation with apple cinnamon fruit and grain bites. The product features organic fruit and 9 grams of fiber per serving.
Yoggies launched its latest variety of probiotic snacks with its lemon berry offering. The snack combines fruit bites coated in yogurt, containing 3 grams of fiber and probiotic cultures, according to the company.
Pop Secret, a maker of home popcorn products, debuted its first ready-to-eat innovation. The gluten-free product is aimed at consumers seeking convenient, grab-and-go popcorn snacks, with flavors such as homestyle sea salt, double cheddar and movie theater butter.
Power Up, a manufacturer of functional trail mixes, unveiled its dark chocolate trail bites. The snack features a blend of pecans, cranberries, walnuts and blueberries with dark chocolate to deliver a functional blend of antioxidants, according to the company.
Snak Club, a Century Snacks brand, partnered with First We Feast’s digital web series Hot Ones to create a line of honey roasted nuts. The snack builds on the brands’ prior collaboration and features two varieties, honey roasted tangy chili peanuts and honey roasted smoky sweet cashews.
Slim Jim, a Conagra Brands, Inc. brand, unveiled Slim Jim Bites. The smaller-size product is available in varieties like original and mild, with a Tabasco flavor to launch later this year.
Conagra also debuted a collaboration with restaurant chain Buffalo Wild Wings. The companies developed chicken-based meat stick snacks inspired by the restaurant’s sauces. Varieties include Buffalo-style and hot.
Nearly 2,500 companies exhibited at the annual event hosted by the Specialty Food Association.
