Nearly 2,500 companies exhibited at the annual event hosted by the Specialty Food Association.
New Age Foods debuted its functional beverage brand BrainPop. Developed to promote brain health, energy and focus, according to the company, the product features 90 mgs of caffeine from green tea, green coffee bean and guarana, along with a blend of nutrients such as taurine, theanine, creatine, choline and glutamine. Flavors include Dragonberry Warrior and Mojito Madness.
Notoko unveiled a line of sesame-soy products. The offerings are formulated to serve as sauces or marinades for applications like grilled meats, sushi, poke bowls, dumplings, seafood, poultry and vegetables, with flavors like original, gluten-free, mild jalapeño and spicy jalapeño.
Notoko’s sauces are formulated with lime juice, lemon juice, ginger, honey, and olive oil to deliver a lower-sodium alternative to traditional soy and teriyaki sauces, according to the company.
100 Mistérios, a Portugal-based producer of canned fish products, debuted Iconic Sardine, a ready-to-eat sardine brand. The canned offerings feature North Atlantic sardines mixed with Portugese cuisine flavors, according to the company. Varieties include sardines in brava sauce, olive oil, spicy olive oil, olive oil and ginger, olive oil with lemon, and tomato sauce.
The Republic of Tea launched the All Day Earl Grey collection, a series of ready-to-drink Earl Grey teas with a modern twist, according to the company. The collection includes orange marmalade, with citrus flavors from bergamot and orange; lemon biscuit, with vanilla flavor notes to evoke lemon curd shortbread; whiskey vanilla fig; and strawberry rhubarb.
The company also debuted its tablespoon matcha, a Japanese matcha latte concentrate intended to be blended with 7.5-oz of milk or a milk alternative.
Chevoo, a maker of goat cheese products, debuted a line of offerings made with labneh made from goat’s milk. The labneh spreads are formulated with strained yogurt and extra virgin olive oil and are available in Mediterranean-inspired varieties such as original with smoked salt, honey and lemon, rosemary and Moroccan herbs.
“Traditionally, labneh is made with goat’s milk and is served in a bowl doused with olive oil, topped with other ingredients, and enjoyed as a dip or a spread,” said Pierre Guérin, president and co-owner of Chevoo. “We were inspired by these traditions to create a product which is ready to enjoy and easily accessible for today’s consumer.”
Kayco expanded its Manischewitz brand with two lines of kosher offerings. The Manischewitz ready-to-serve soup line features seven flavor varieties in 24-oz jars, including chicken broth, chicken noodle soup, chicken matzo ball soup, tomato and rice soup, split pea soup, mushroom barley soup and Bubby’s vegetable soup. Additionally, the brand’s New York-style beef hot dogs are launching in regular and low-fat varieties.
“These offerings invite a wider audience to discover the depth, flavor, and cultural importance of Jewish food,” said Shani Seidman, chief marketing officer of Kayco.
Artikaas, a Dutch Cheese Makers brand, unveiled three new cheese offerings. The additions include 18-month aged sliced gouda, sliced gouda and sliced goat gouda, each available in 10-count, 7-oz packages.
“Our sliced line was designed for consumers who love high-quality cheese but want the convenience of ready-to-use formats,” said Steve Margarites, president and chief executive officer of Dutch Cheese Makers. “With the addition of our classic, goat, and aged goudas, we’re giving people even more ways to enjoy the premium authentic Dutch flavor Artikaas is known for.”
Belle Chevre expanded its portfolio with the launch of its Señor Cactus dips brand. Señor Cactus’ products feature a goat cheese base and nopales, also known as prickly pear cactus, used in traditional Mexican cuisine. The product comes in flavors like nopales and Mexican herbs, nopales and jalapeño, nopales and chipotle, and roasted nopales.
Ginny launched a line of non-alcoholic functional spritzers. The beverages contain 4,000 mgs of adaptogens, such as tulsi, goji and ginseng, per serving to provide stress relief, improved focus and mood benefits, according to the company. Ginny’s spritzers are available in such flavors as hibiscus yuzu ginger and blueberry lavender calamansi.
