KANSAS CITY — Restaurant operators are decking dessert menus with decadent seasonal offerings inspired by traditional holiday treats.

Debuting at Cold Stone Creamery for a limited time is Cake Batter Ice Cream Made with Moose Tracks Fudge. The ice cream is paired with brownies and holiday sprinkles in a new menu item dubbed Deck the Halls with Fudge and Sprinkles.

Dairy Queen is offering the Candy Cane Chill Blizzard, featuring vanilla soft serve mixed with candy cane pieces and chocolate chunks, and the Frozen Hot Chocolate, which blends vanilla soft serve, cocoa fudge and ice, with whipped topping and a chocolate drizzle.

Cupcake bakery Sprinkles’ Holiday Collection includes Chocolate Peppermint, which features a Belgian dark chocolate cake topped with bittersweet chocolate peppermint frosting and crushed peppermint candies; Christmas Cookie, which has vanilla cake with a sugar cookie crust and vanilla buttercream frosting; and Gingerbread, with spiced ginger cake and cream cheese frosting.

Mariah’s Cookies, the virtual bakery created by pop musician Mariah Carey in association with Virtual Dining Concepts, is debuting its Holiday Hits Cookie Trio. Flavors include Gingerbread, Cinnamon Sugar and Chocolate Raspberry Truffle.

Baskin-Robbins is introducing Gingerbread House as the flavor of the month for December. The gingerbread-flavored ice cream features gingersnap cookie bites and peppermint pieces, finished with a confetti icing drizzle.

“Dessert is one of the best things about the holiday season and this year, like every year, we’re excited to give the gift of ice cream to our guests,” said Charlie Nutting, brand marketing and insights director at Inspire Brands, parent company of Baskin-Robbins.
