BURLINGTON, MASS. – Changes are underway in the Keurig Dr Pepper leadership team as Ozan Dokmecioglu prepares to take over as chief executive officer on July 29. Bob Gamgort, current chairman and CEO, said he was stepping down as CEO this past April.

Derek Hopkins, president of cold beverages, is leaving the company at the end of the year. His role is going to be split into two positions — president of commercial and president of cold beverages, according to the company. Andrew Archambault, who currently serves as chief customer officer, has been promoted to the president of commercial role, effective Aug. 1. A search is underway for a new president of cold beverages.

Mauricio Leyva, who joined the company in 2020 and currently is president of coffee, will assume an expanded role as group president, on Aug. 1.  In the new role, Mr. Leyva will continue to lead coffee and add responsibility for the international businesses previously led by Mr. Dokmecioglu, as well as the continued development of Keurig Dr Pepper’s digitization efforts.

David Thomas, chief research and development officer, will be retiring from the company upon the naming of his successor.  A search is underway for his replacement.

Prior to Mr. Dokmecioglu’s promotion he was chief financial officer. While the company searches for his replacement, George Lagoudakis, who currently is senior vice president of finance for cold beverages, will fill the role on an interim basis.
