KANSAS CITY — National restaurant chains are promoting premium proteins in new offerings.
Rolling out at Little Caesars is the Old World Fanceroni Pepperoni pizza, topped with more than 100 slices of old-world pepperoni, which has a smoky flavor and crisps up when cooked, according to the company.
“Little Caesars is already known for breakthrough products such as our Pretzel Crust Pizza and Crazy Calzony,” said Greg Hamilton, senior vice president of marketing at Little Caesars. “Old World Fanceroni Pepperoni elevates our already high-quality pizza offerings and gives customers the option to make pizza night a little fancier.”
The new chorizo breakfast burrito at Einstein Bros. Bagels combines eggs, chorizo, bacon, hashbrowns, asiago, Parmesan and romano cheeses and salsa in a flour tortilla.
“Our version of the breakfast burrito is highly flavorful and filling,” said Chad Thompson, head of culinary innovation, Einstein Bros. Bagels. “The Chorizo Breakfast Burrito truly lives up to its hype — made to order with just the right amount of smoky, spicy chorizo.”
Quiznos has added a hickory smoked burnt ends sandwich to the menu. The item includes prime rib cuts smoked with hickory wood chips, plus pickles, red onions, cheddar cheese and Blue Ribbon BBQ sauce.
“At Quiznos, we are always looking to create flavorful and unique items for our guests that they may not expect to find in our restaurants, and we are excited for them to try out this sandwich,” said Mike Gieseman, vice president of culinary innovation. “We really wanted to create something reminiscent of long summer days spent outside enjoying time with friends and family, and we believe this new sandwich conveys that feeling.”
