SPRINGDALE, ARK. — Melanie Boulden has been named group president of Prepared Foods and chief growth officer at Tyson Foods, Inc.

Ms. Boulden started with the meat producer in February 2023 as chief growth officer. She reports to chief executive officer Donnie King.

The job of group president of Prepared Foods became vacant on Sept. 14 when Stewart Glendinning resigned from his position. Mr. Glendinning took the position of CEO for Express Inc., a retail fashion company.

“Melanie is an exceptional talent and a proven leader in growing global household brand businesses,” Mr. King said when Ms. Boulden was announced to the chief growth officer position in Dec. 2022. “She has the creative, operational and financial experience to drive value creation across Tyson Foods’ brand portfolio. The introduction of the new chief growth officer role will allow Melanie to develop a world-class center of excellence around brand marketing that will be critical as Tyson Foods continues to focus on future growth.”

Before joining the meat company, Ms. Boulden worked as chief marketing officer of Coca-Cola North America.

Other recent executive changes in September included Doug Kulka becoming chief technology officer and chief information officer after Danyel Bischof-Forsyth left the company.
