AUSTIN, MINN. — Tony J. Finnestad has been named corporate development chef for Hormel Foods Corp.’s food service division.
Before joining Hormel, Mr. Finnestad worked as the corporate chef for Glen Arbor, Mich.-based Cherry Republic, Inc. In that role, he was responsible for new product development for two restaurants and four retail locations. Prior to Cherry Republic, Mr. Finnestad was the lead chef at various restaurants and companies in Tennessee, Texas, Wyoming and New Mexico.“We are thrilled to have Tony on our team,” said Jeffrey R. Baker, group vice-president of food service for Hormel Foods. “He has a fantastic knowledge of food and the real world experience of working in a food service kitchen.
