KANSAS CITY — With the first day of fall on the horizon, autumn offerings are in the spotlight on menus.
Offering a healthier harvest-inspired dish, Wendy’s is introducing the Harvest Chicken Salad. The seasonal salad features brown sugar walnuts, red and green apples, feta cheese, applewood smoked bacon and grilled all-white meat chicken breast on a bed of chopped romaine, iceberg and spring mix lettuce all tossed with Marzetti Simply Dressed apple cider vinaigrette.
Fall flavors are featured in Boston Market’s three new menu items. The Roasted Garlic & Herb Rotisserie Chicken is the chain’s signature rotisserie chicken topped with herbs, Parmesan cheese and a light garlic cream sauce sprinkled with a toasted herb crunch. The Cinnamon Apple Streusel features apples baked with cinnamon and sugar and topped with an oatmeal streusel. The Loaded Roasted Potatoes dish features roasted red potatoes topped with melted cheddar cheese, bacon pieces and diced green onions.
Corner Bakery’s fall menu features three new breakfast offerings. The new Apple Walnut Pancakes dish includes four buttermilk pancakes topped with caramelized apples, cinnamon crunch streusel and toasted walnuts served with vanilla maple syrup and applewood smoked bacon. The Apple Walnut Oatmeal is whole grain steel-cut oatmeal topped with caramelized apples, cinnamon crunch streusel and toasted walnuts. The Glorious Morning Muffin is packed with carrots, walnuts, raisins, coconut, diced apple and fall spices.
