CHICAGO — McDonald’s Corp. is serving its first new holiday McFlurry in seven years: the Snickerdoodle McFlurry.
Made with vanilla soft serve mixed with crumbles of crunchy cinnamon cookies, the dessert will be sold exclusively for delivery via UberEats from November 11-17. Then, in late November, the McFlurry will be available in stores nationwide for a limited time.
McDonald’s tested the Snickerdoodle McFlurry in some southern California McDonald’s locations this summer before deciding to release the treat nationwide for the holidays.
“We know our customers enjoy the McFlurry year-round, and we wanted to give them a little something special to help celebrate the holidays,” said Linda VanGosen, McDonald’s vice-president of menu innovation. “Our chefs mixed up multiple flavors to ensure we got the recipe just right, with the irresistible combination of snickerdoodle cookies and our creamy vanilla soft serve. We’re excited to give our customers early access to try the new Snickerdoodle McFlurry from the comfort of their homes when they order McDelivery with Uber Eats.”
The new variety is McDonald’s first holiday McFlurry since 2012, when the restaurant offered a Holiday Mint McFlurry made with vanilla soft serve, peppermint candy and mint syrup. In 2017, the fast-food chain debuted a limited-edition seasonal Rolo McFlurry during the summer that had last appeared on menus in 2012. Most recently, McDonald’s served the Stroopwafel McFlurry from the Netherlands for a limited time as part of its Worldwide Favorites menu.
