KANSAS CITY — A classic flavor combination is trending in new sweets hitting store shelves.
Nestle SA is rolling out Nestle Toll House Cookies & Creme Edible Cookie Dough, which consists of edible cookie dough mixed with pieces of chocolate and crème sandwich cookies.
Blue Bell Creameries is launching Cookies ‘n Cream Cone ice cream. The flavor features vanilla ice cream combined with chocolate crème filled cookie crumbles, chocolate cone pieces coated in dark chocolate and a chocolate fudge sauce.
“Some of you will remember our Cookie Cone, which inspired this flavor,” said Joe Robertson, executive director of advertising and marketing for Blue Bell. “Imagine our Cookies ’n Cream Ice Cream, then add in cone pieces and a fudgy swirl. It’s an ice cream with all of the delicious ingredients of a Cookie Cone. It’s your favorite cone, but in a carton.”
Stuffed Puffs is launching cookies and crème flavored stuffed marshmallows. The treats are vanilla marshmallows stuffed with smooth white crème and chocolate cookie crunch.
“Cookies and creme has always been a favorite flavor of mine, so I'm excited to bring that delicious combination to our newest Stuffed Puffs creation,” said Michael Tierney, chief executive officer and founder of Stuffed Puffs. “The cookie sandwich pieces in the center add an incredible new dimension to our marshmallows, making this another technology achievement for the brand.”
