SALEM, ORE. — Oregon Fruit Products, a maker of canned, frozen, and shelf-stable fruits, has named Joe Prewett as its new president and chief executive officer.

Mr. Prewett has been on the company’s board for the last two years and will assume his new role effective mid-October, following the exit of current CEO Chris Sarles.

“Joe’s experience working with our business, as well as his vision and passion for people and culture of the organization are a perfect match for what we’re seeking for the next phase of the company’s growth,” Mr. Sarles said.

Most recently, Mr. Prewett was the executive vice president of brand and category growth at Tillamook County Creamery Association. During the eight years he held the role, Mr. Prewett more than doubled the company’s net sales.

Prior to joining Tillamook, he was also the vice president of marketing for Farmer Brothers Coffee and Coffee Bean International.

He holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of Oregon and a master’s in business administration from UCLA.
