Food Entrepreneur AUSTIN, TEXAS — SKU, the Austin-based consumer packaged goods accelerator, has selected three food and beverage startups to participate in its upcoming program for female and diverse entrepreneurs.

Founders will receive mentorship, networking and education during the 12-week program, which begins Aug. 24 and culminates in a pitch event in November. The accelerator will offer online and in-person programming, with a curriculum spanning such topics as marketing and brand building, supply chain, channel strategy and more.

Brands participating in SKU’s Women & BIPOC Track include:

Neeshi, a maker of functional foods based on Ayurvedic principles and developed to ease menstrual symptoms;

Phreshly, a brand of canned cocktails formulated with locally sourced ingredients and tapping into West African flavors and Southern cuisine and culture; and

The Humble Seed, a startup founded by a team of consumer products veterans offering grain-free crackers made with a six-seed blend.

“I am most looking forward to networking with some of the best and brightest in the CPG space and forging meaningful connections and collaborations,” said Sarah Meis, co-founder of The Humble Seed. “My dream for The Humble Seed is to disrupt the snack category so your whole family can snack happy and healthy.”

Founded in 2011, SKU has supported more than 120 brands, including Epic Provisions, Aura Bora and Siete Family Foods.
