NEW YORK — Non-alcoholic beverage retailer Boisson has entered a new venture that includes appointing a new chief executive officer and gaining $5 million in funding.
Sheetal Aiyer has been named CEO, succeeding Nick Bodkins. As founder and president, Mr. Bodkins will continue to oversee the long-term vision and explore new opportunities for the business internationally, the company said.
Prior to joining Boisson, Mr. Aiyer was principal and founder of Vik Charles Consulting. Earlier, he was chief operating officer and general counsel at Sixpoint, senior vice president of global product development and general counsel at Tough Mudder Inc., and in-house attorney at J.P. Morgan Chase Bank, NA.
The funding round had support from Convivialité Ventures, the VC arm of Pernod Ricard, and Connect Ventures, the investment partnership between entertainment and sports agency Creative Artists Agency (CAA) and global venture capital firm New Enterprise Associates (NEA). The funding will enable Boisson to grow domestically and internationally, create strategic partnerships, have product collections, and move the company into an omnichannel platform for suppliers and customers.
