DARMSTADT, GERMANY — Döhler Ventures, the ingredient manufacturer Döhler’s entrepreneurial investment arm focused on startups within the global nutrition and technology ecosystem, is investing in Vertosa, an infusion technology company for cannabis and hemp products.
The investment will enable Döhler and Vertosa to form a partnership to research and develop innovations of life science products in the beverage sector for the food, beverage and nutrition industries.
Through the partnership, Döhler will develop natural ingredients and ingredient blends to integrate into Vertosa’s portfolio.
The companies will work together to co-develop beverage formulations and infusion technologies for lifestyle beverages, according to the company.
“We’re thrilled to support this collaboration,” said Sebastian Dreher, PhD at Döhler Ventures. “The investment reflects the long-term commitment to both the relationship and product categories, being driven by Vertosa’s professional management, thought leadership and market momentum.”
Benjamin Larson, chief executive of Vertosa, added, “Through Döhler’s partnership, we’re not only gaining a treasury of knowledge but also the capabilities to co-create intellectual property that brings success for customers with a new range of life science beverages. This union is about more than innovation; it’s about setting the gold standard for what cannabis beverages can and should be.”
