STOCKTON, CALIF.  — Roxanne Bernstein has been named chief executive officer of Kevin’s Natural Foods, a refrigerated entrée company.

She was to join the company in April and then will transition to CEO by July 1.

Bernstein succeeds the company’s co-founders, Kevin McCray, Dan Costa and Kelsie Costa, who are moving on from the company to spend time with their families following its growth. They will stay on until the end of June to help with the transition, according to the company.

Kevin’s was founded in 2019 as a nutritious, convenient meal company that formulates sous-vide meals, sides and sauces. It was recently acquired by pet food and food product manufacturer, Mars, Inc. in July 2023. Kevin’s joined the Mars Food & Nutrition segment and operates as a standalone business.

Bernstein joins the company from ACCO Brands North America where she was most recently executive vice president and president. Earlier, she was president, Crystal Farms Dairy Co. at Post Holdings. She also has held leadership positions for such companies as Kellogg and Kraft.

"I am incredibly proud of what Kevin's Natural Foods has accomplished in only four years, and I can't think of a better person to lead the brand into the future," McCray said. "Roxanne will reinforce the company's culture while continuing to deliver for our customers, drive innovation and reach even more consumers. The future for Kevin's Natural Foods is bright, and I look forward to supporting its continued success."

Shaid Shah, global president for Mars Food & Nutrition, added, “Roxanne's style of leadership and her impressive experience scaling and driving food brands make her the perfect choice to lead Kevin's Natural Foods into the next stage of growth. Harnessing the agility, culture and customer obsession the business has thrived on.”
