Coffee and ice cream makers debut dairy-free options.
Coolhaus is debuting its dairy-free line of frozen desserts and frozen dessert cookie sandwiches. Made with a base of organic cocoa butter, pea protein and organic whole grain brown rice, the desserts are sweetened with cane sugar and contain equal partner chocolate chunks and chips.
The dairy-free pint flavors include Salted Caramel Crunch, Dirty Mint Chip, Cookie Dough Lyfe, Chocolate Campfire S’Mores, Peanut Butter Fudge Chip, Chocolate Sandwich Cookie Crumb and Mocha Marcona Almond Fudge. The dairy-free cookie sandwich flavors include Horchata with Snickerdoodle cookies, Dirty Mint Chip with double chocolate cookies, Tahitian Vanilla Bean with chocolate chip cookies, Cookie Dough Lyfe with chocolate chip cookies, and Cookies and Cream with double chocolate cookies.
Starbucks Corp. is cranking up the caffeine content in its new ready-to-drink line, Tripleshot Energy. Featuring 225 mg of caffeine per 15-oz can, the energy coffee beverages are available in caramel, Caffè Mocha and french vanilla flavors.
Starbucks also is adding three new bottled Frappuccino flavors featuring a splash of cold brew: caramelized vanilla honey, toasted white chocolate and salted dark chocolate.
PepsiCo, Inc.'s Frito-Lay division is expanding its snack selection with Flavor Shot, a new line of crunchy, boldly flavored Doritos and Cheetos brand snacks. The poppable snacks are available in four varieties: Doritos Flamin' Hot Nacho Cheese Nuts, Cheetos Flamin' Hot Asteroids, Doritos Fiery Habanero Triangles and Doritos Nacho Cheese Nuts.
Sabra Dipping Company, L.L.C., a joint venture between PepsiCo, Inc. and the Strauss Group, is expanding its portable breakfast product line with two hummus toast items. New Everything Hummus Toast and Lemon Poppy Seed Hummus Toast pair Sabra hummus with crispy, whole grain toasts and include seasoning packets to mix into the hummus. Both varieties contain 7 gams of protein, 5 grams of fiber and 13 grams of whole grains.
Condiments collide in two new hybrids from the Kraft Heinz Co. The company is debuting Heinz Mayocue sauce, a blend of barbecue sauce and mayonnaise, and Heinz Mayomust sauce, a mashup of mustard and mayonnaise. Both condiment combinations are available in 16.5-oz bottles.
Enlightened Ice Cream is introducing two savory snack-inspired ice cream products.
The new All That & a Bag of Chips ice cream pint features potato chip ice cream with chocolate chips and a salted fudge swirl. The gluten-free flavor contains 100 calories and 5 grams of protein per 1/2-cup serving.
The Movie Night ice cream bar is popcorn ice cream with chocolate chips and a caramel swirl. The gluten-free bar features 90 calories and 7 grams of protein per bar.
Union has teamed up with Made for Drink UK to introduce Union Charcuterie Crisps. The line of crispy meat snacks will launch with four varieties: Chorizo Crisps, Genoa Crisps, Salami Crisps and Sopressata Crisps.
