Flowers Foods, Inc. is bringing its Dave’s Killer Bread business into the bun category with new organic burger buns. The products are USDA certified organic, Non-GMO Project verified and retail for $5.99 per 8-bun pack.
The 21 Whole Grains and Seeds Buns feature the brand’s 21 whole grains and seeds blend and feature a “hearty texture and subtle sweetness,” the company said. The buns provide 12 grams of whole grains and 6 grams of protein per serving.
The Burger Buns Done Right is the brand’s take on the classic artisan-style bun. The buns contain 8 grams of whole grains and 6 grams of protein per serving.
“Consumers are hungry for organic buns, which make up less than 1% of the category, despite significant increases in demand for organic meat and plant-based alternatives,” said Cristina Watson, brand manager for Dave’s Killer Bread. “We wanted to give people a bun packed with the flavor and nutrition they expect from Dave’s Killer Bread, that will elevate anything they pile on it. They deserve a great organic bun.”
Two new beverage lines are joining the portfolio at Bolthouse Farms, which recently was acquired by private equity firm Butterfly.
Bolthouse Farms Protein Keto beverages are ready-to-drink offerings available in dark chocolate, coconut, coffee and matcha flavors. Made with MCT oil from coconut and electrolytes from sea salt, the drinks contain 3 grams of net carbs or fewer, 15 grams of protein and 1 gram of sugar per bottle.
Bolthouse Farms BOLTS are shots of juice and functional ingredients that start with a base of carrot juice and contain components like ginger, apple cider vinegar, probiotics, coffee fruit, green tea and acai. The shots come in five varieties: Immunity, Digestion, Energy, Wellness and Metabolism.

Country Archer Provisions is offering new line of zero-sugar beef jerky that is made from lean, USDA inspected 100% grass-fed beef. The keto-friendly, sugar-free and soy-free jerky comes in Spicy Sesame Garlic, Mustard BBQ and Classic varieties.

PepsiCo, Inc.’s Naked Juice brand is adding Plant Protein Smoothies to its beverage lineup. Featuring 18 grams of plant-based protein, the Non-GMO Project verified smoothies comes in peach mango and blueberry banana flavors. Each 15.2-oz bottle contains 330 to 340 calories.
