Menchie’s Frozen Yogurt is adding two flavors inspired by Hi-Chew chewy candy. Hi-Chew Mango and Hi-Chew Passion Fruit frozen yogurt varieties will be available throughout the month at participating Menchie’s locations nationwide. A previous collaboration between the two brands produced Hi-Chew Dragon Fruit frozen yogurt.
Debuting at Sonic Drive-In for a limited time is the Toasted S’mores Shake, made with vanilla ice cream mixed with chocolate chunks and graham cracker crumbs, topped with marshmallow.
A pair of new desserts is joining the menu at TGI Fridays. The Stout Irish Cream Cake features stout cake drizzled with Guinness Draught Stout glaze and topped with whipped cream. The Cinnabon Caramel Pecan Cheesecake has layers of Cinnabon cinnamon cheesecake, vanilla crunch cake and cream cheese frosting, caramel and glazed pecans, served with a scoop of vanilla bean ice cream.
Tim Hortons is debuting a pair of menu items featuring Kellogg’s Froot Loops. The Froot Loops Dream Donut has a strawberry icing base topped with Froot Loops cereal and a white icing drizzle. Froot Loops Timbits are citrus cake donut holes with a glazed coating covered in crushed Froot Loop pieces. The products will be available for a limited time at participating US restaurants.
Regional fast-food chain Bojangles has partnered with PepsiCo, Inc. to offer an exclusive beverage for a limited time. Mtn Dew Summer Shock is a carbonated soft drink with a tropical punch flavor that will “cool you down and light you up all at the same time,” said Jackie Woodward, chief marketing officer of Bojangles.
Carrabba’s Italian Grill is introducing an expanded menu with new and returning dishes. New items include Classics Appetizers Combination, which has calamari, mozzarella marinara and four-cheese and sausage stuffed mushrooms; Rigatoni Martino, with sauteed mushrooms, sundried tomatoes, Parmesan and Romano cheese tossed with rigatoni pasta in tomato cream sauce; Tuscan-Grilled Ribeye, and Grouper De Nisco, which is lightly breaded grouper filets that are grilled and topped with lemon butter, basil, diced tomatoes and kalamata olives.
Cracker Barrel Old Country Store is introducing a new, simplified dinner menu featuring new recipes, including Country Fried Pork Chops smothered in roasted pan gravy, Pot Roast Supper, which combines an oven-braised beef roast with red potatoes, carrots, onions, celery and tomatoes in a beef broth, and Barrel-Cut Sugar Ham served with a choice of three side dishes and buttermilk biscuits or corn muffins. Updated recipes include the Cracker Barrel Sampler, which now includes chicken and dumplings, meatloaf and sugar-cured country ham served with a choice of three side dishes.
Crispy chicken is joining the permanent menu at Del Taco Restaurants. Made from lightly breaded boneless chicken breast strips, crispy chicken is featured in new tacos, a burrito and a chicken and fries box. The Mexican chain noted growing demand for crispy chicken across quick-service restaurant concepts.
Quiznos is introducing the Cubano sandwich for a limited time. The sandwich includes a half-pound of roasted turkey and ham, plus Swiss cheese, pickles and mustard on toasted and pressed Cuban-style white bread.
The Beer Battered Fish Sandwich has returned to Arby’s menu for a limited time. Crispy-fried, beer-battered cod is piled with lettuce, tomato, pickles and tartar sauce on a toasted brioche bun.
Smashburger is rolling out its Colorado Burger nationwide for a limited time. The sandwich includes certified Angus beef, green chilies, aged cheddar, pepper jack cheese, lettuce, tomato and mayonnaise on a spicy chipotle bun.
