Krispy Kreme is offering a new batch of Halloween-themed donuts called Scary Sweet Monster Doughnuts.

The Frank Monster Doughnut is filled with original Kreme, dipped in green icing and decorated like a monster with icing, sprinkles and pretzel piece bolts.

The Drake Monster Doughnut features raspberry filling and is dipped in light purple icing then decorated like a monster with icing and sugar piece eyes.

The Wolfie Monster Doughnut is an original glazed donut dipped in chocolate icing and decorated like a werewolf with chocolate Kreme, a sugar piece face and cinnamon sugar cereal ears.

In September, Krispy Kreme expanded its pumpkin-flavored donut offerings with the launch of a Pumpkin Spice Cinnamon Roll Doughnut. The new donut joined three returning varieties — pumpkin spice original glazed, pumpkin spice glazed, pumpkin spice original filled cheesecake.

The pumpkin spice donut collection includes:

• Pumpkin Spice Cinnamon Roll Doughnut — A pumpkin spice donut, tossed in a pumpkin spice sugar blend and topped with cream cheese icing and cinnamon schmear.
• Pumpkin Spice Original Glazed Doughnut — A classic original glazed donut with a pumpkin spice twist.
• Pumpkin Spice Cake Doughnut — A spiced old-fashioned cake donut covered in a signature glaze.
• Pumpkin Spice Original Filled Cheesecake Doughnut — A pumpkin spice original glazed donut with creamy cheesecake filing decorated with cheesecake icing.

Krispy Kreme Doughnuts announced in July that it was bringing back three of the fan favorite Reese’s donuts for a limited time, with one earning a permanent spot on the menu. The winner, declared in August, was the Classic Reese’s Doughnut — A shell donut filled with Reese’s Peanut Butter Kreme, dipped in Hershey’s chocolate icing, topped with mini peanut butter chips and a drizzle of Reese’s chocolate and peanut butter sauce.

Krispy Kreme celebrated the Fourth of July holiday with a new collection of Indoughpendence Day Doughnuts.

The Patriotic Sprinkles Doughnut is an original glazed donut dipped in white icing and topped with red, white and blue sprinkles.

The Strawberry Sparkler Doughnut is an original filled donut stuffed with strawberries and Kreme filling that is dipped in red icing and topped with star sprinkles.

The Original Filled Freedom Ring Doughnut is an original filled donut with original Kreme filling that is decorated to look like the American flag with star sprinkles.

The Firework Doughnut is an original glazed donut dipped in blue icing and decorated with red and white icing all topped with blue raspberry popping candy.

In June, Krispy Kreme transformed three classic treats into donuts with its new Dessert Doughnuts Collection.

Available for a limited time, the collection included donut versions of three favorites: Banana Pudding, Coconut Cake and Mississippi Mud Pie.

The Banana Pudding Doughnut is filled with banana pudding, dipped in light yellow icing and topped with Kreme and three mini vanilla wafer cookies.

The Coconut Cake Doughnut features a coconut flavored cake donut topped with cream cheese icing and dipped in shredded coconut.

The Mississippi Mud Pie Doughnut is filled with Chocolate Pie Kreme, dipped in chocolate icing, topped with cookie and graham crumbles and finished with a marshmallow drizzle.

To celebrate the spring season and the fresh fruits that come with it, Krispy Kreme in April introduced Fresh off the Line donuts, featuring a series of fruit flavors. The treats were released over a three-week period, with one new flavor each week between April 28 and May 15.

In addition to bright fruit glazed donuts is an Original Filled version of each flavor, including:

• Strawberry Glazed and Strawberry Kreme Filled Doughnuts — Both donuts are covered in a strawberry glaze, with the Original Filled featuring a light and airy strawberry Kreme.
• Key Lime Glazed and Key Lime Kreme Filled Doughnuts — The tart flavor of key lime is paired with the sweetness of Krispy Kreme Original Glazed. The Original Filled version is covered in key lime glaze and filled with a key lime Kreme.
• Lemon Glazed and Lemon Kreme Filled Doughnuts — The donut combines zesty lemon and Krispy Kreme’s sweet, signature glaze. The Original Filled donut version is filled with lemon Kreme filling.

Krispy Kreme Doughnuts celebrated the seasons changing in April with new Spring Minis. The downsized donuts come in four varieties.

The Spring Chick Mini Doughnut is a mini original glazed donut dipped in yellow icing and decorated with orange and chocolate icing to resemble a chick.

The Bunny Bum Mini Doughnut is a mini original glazed donut dipped in green icing, topped with green sprinkles and decorated with a dollop of original Kreme and two bunny feet sugar pieces.

The Flower Mini Doughnut is a mini original glazed donut dipped in strawberry icing and purple sugar then decorated with a pink icing flower.

The Chocolate Iced Spring Sprinkles Mini Doughnut is a mini original glazed donut dipped in chocolate icing and topped with pastel sprinkles.

Krispy Kreme collaborated with The Ferrero Group in February to develop two new Butterfinger donuts.

The Butterfinger Original Filled Doughnut is an original glazed donut filled with peanut butter chocolate Kreme dipped in Butterfinger icing and topped with Butterfinger pieces and a chocolate drizzle.

The Butterfinger Fudge Cake Doughnut is a chocolate cake donut dipped in chocolate icing and topped with peanut butter chocolate Kreme and Butterfinger pieces.

“We’ve done it,” said Dave Skena, chief marketing officer at Krispy Kreme. “We’ve achieved our goal of putting krispety, crunchety, glazey, chocolatey and peanut buttery all in a donut. Fans of both brands are going to love the chocolatey crunchiness of Butterfinger matched with the airy sweetness of Krispy Kreme.”

Krispy Kreme Doughnut Corp. started the new year with downsizing … of its donuts. The chain in January began serving Original Glazed Mini Doughnuts, smaller versions of its four most popular donuts “to help fans keep their New Year’s resolutions,” the company said.

The tiny treats are miniature versions of Krispy Kreme’s original glazed, chocolate iced glazed, chocolate iced with sprinkles, and strawberry iced with sprinkles donuts. Each donut contains fewer than 100 calories.

“Too many people bail on their New Year’s resolutions before they are even halfway through January,” said Dave Skena, chief marketing officer for Krispy Kreme. “That’s no good. Sometimes a mini-indulgence, or cheat, is all you need to help you stick with it. So, we miniaturized our most popular donuts. A little Krispy Kreme goes a long way.”

Krispy Kreme prepared for the holiday season in December 2019 with the debut of the new Gingerbread Glazed Original Filled with Cheesecake Doughnut. The spiced gingerbread donut is filled with cheesecake Kreme.

The donut maker also introducing the Original Glazed Reindeer Doughnut. Dipped in chocolate icing and decorated with pretzel antlers, candy eyes and a red nose to look like a reindeer, the donut joins the Santa Belly Doughnut and the Present Doughnut in Krispy Kreme’s holiday collection.

“The North Pole is the perfect inspiration for Krispy Kreme to bring wonder, fun and deliciousness to our fans during the holidays,” said Dave Skena, chief marketing officer for Krispy Kreme. “We hope we can be one of the ways you spread joy to others this season.”

Popular pie varieties met a breakfast mainstay in the new “Easy as Pie” donut collection launched in November 2019 from Krispy Kreme.

Available through Thanksgiving Day, the donuts came in three pie-inspired varieties: Dutch apple pie, chocolate crème pie and cherry pie.

The Dutch apple pie donut is stuffed with apple pie filling, dipped in caramel icing and finished with streusel topping and a drizzle of icing.

The chocolate crème pie variety is filled with chocolate Kreme, dipped in chocolate icing, topped with a dollop of Kreme and finished with miniature chocolate chips.

The Cherry Pie donut is topped with pie crust crumbles, a cherry filling and a drizzle of icing.

“There’s nothing easy about making pie, but doughnutized pies are a different story,” said Dave Skena, chief marketing officer at Krispy Kreme. “We’ve taken some of your favorites and transformed them into delicious doughnuts. Buy. Share. Eat. Easy as pie.”
