Gingerbread stands out this holiday season
A range of applications featured the flavor this year
Baskin-Robbins
Gingerbread house was Baskin-Robbins’ flavor of the month for December. The gingerbread-flavored ice cream featured gingersnap cookie bites, peppermint pieces and confetti icing drizzle.
Red Robin
Red Robin’s Gingerbread Milkshake features soft-serve ice cream, milk, graham cracker crumbs, gingerbread flavor and is topped with whipped cream, graham cracker crumbs and a gingerbread cookie.
American Licorice Co.
Red Vines Gingerbread Twists was a seasonal flavor launched by the American Licorice Co. this year.
SNAX-Sational Brands
SNAX-Sational Brands offered Cookie Pop Popcorn in an ice gingerbread flavor this holiday season. The variety was inspired by classical seasonal desserts, according to the company.
Wells Enterprises
Wells Enterprises' Halo Top brand offered a gingerbread house flavored ice cream. The variety combined gingerbread ice cream with ginger cookie bites and swirls of icing.
PepsiCo, Inc.
Mtn. Dew Gingerbread Snap’d was a holiday-season offering from PepsiCo, Inc. The carbonated beverage featured the flavor of gingerbread cookie.
Death Wish Coffee Co.
Gingerdead was a holiday-themed coffee variety from Death Wish Coffee Co., the self-proclaimed maker of the world’s strongest coffee. The coffee was infused with ginger and notes of brown spices and cinnamon into the beans, according to the company.
The Ferrero Group
Ferrara, a business unit of The Ferrero Group, introduced Keebler Gingerbread Fudge Stripes cookies that combined the flavors of vanilla fudge and baked gingerbread.
Mariah’s Cookies
Mariah’s Cookies is a virtual bakery launched by Virtual Dining Concepts in association with musician Mariah Carey. The partnership offered Holiday Hits Cookie Trio that featured such flavors as gingerbread, cinnamon sugar and chocolate raspberry truffle. To buy the cookies, consumers had to do it through the Mariah’s Coolies app and through third-party delivery apps.
