The 2022 show saw companies debut better-for-you sweets.
Trü Frü released its Tru Fru Frozen Fresh products, that is made from real fruit coated in chocolate, and hyper-chilled at -300° F.
The Frozen Fresh products are available in two varieties of strawberry and blueberry.
Trü Frü won the Best in Show Award for its Natures Strawberries Hyper-Chilled Fresh in Ruby Cacao.
Cookies United debuted the newest flavor in its CakeBite line: peanut butter chocolate crunch.
Available in single grab-and-go packs or 4-packs, the bites contain three layers or peanut butter and chocolate cake, separated by a layer of peanut butter cream with crushed peanuts. The cake is finished with a peanut butter coating and chocolate drizzle and will be available for purchase in early 2023.
Hawaiian Host, manufacturer of chocolate-covered macadamias, released its new collection, Flavors of Aloha.
Each chocolate bar in the new collection captures a classic flavor of Hawaii, according to the company.

Sugarox Candy Studio is launching a low-sugar version of its Tamalitoz candy.
Tamalitoz ChewLows are available in two flavors, pineapple and watermelon, and contain a hint of chili lime and sea salt. The individually wrapped low-sugar candy is non-GMO, vegan and gluten-free. It’s sweetened with monkfruit juice concentrate and naturally colored with red cabbage extract and turmeric.
Jojo’s Chocolate debuted its dark chocolate-filled bites, a plant-based, low-sugar option available in multiple varieties. The dark chocolate bites are topped with plant-based proteins, including macadamia nuts, coconut and sea salt, pistachios, almonds and cranberries, and peanut butter, peanuts and sea salt.
Las Olas Confections and Snacks released Coco Bites and Coco Bars under its Coconut Island brand.
Both the Coco Bites and Coco Bars have a coconut confection filling, and available in milk and dark chocolate varieties.
Kimmie Candy added ChocoBoulders to its product lineup.
The new candy is a 1.4-oz to 2-oz chunk of milk chocolate, covered in a candy shell, so that it looks like a rock. The peanut-free ChocoBoulders come in a 14-oz bag.
Perfetti Van Melle USA, Inc. announced it is adding a new flavor of Mentos Gum with Vitamins, which will be available starting in November.
Mentos Gum with Vitamins will be available in a berry flavor, with the added vitamins of B6, B12 and C. It comes in a 45-piece bottle.
Katjes debuted Plant Based Gummies, containing no animal gelatin. The new gummies are also carbon neutral and are made with plant and algae derived colors. The gummies are available in three varieites: Rainbow, Sour and Love & Stars.
Kimmie Candy introduced a line of protein-infused chocolate. SumYummmm is a lentil-shaped dark chocolate, containing protein wrapped in a candy shell.
Trupo Treats debuted its plant-based vegan milk chocolate bars that are free from the top eight allergens, excluding coconut.
The chocolate is available in three varieties: milk chocolate rice crunch, milk chocolate crispy wafer and milk chocolate.
Side Step Sweets, co-founded by NBA basketball player Jayson Tatum, debuted Small Wins, all-natural plant-based gummies.
The low-sugar gummies come in 50-gram packs for a suggested retail price of $3.29, and are available in four flavors: strawberry, peach, watermelon and green apple.
