Seasonal ice cream takes center stage.
Thai Express debuted a new “Asian favorites” menu to locations nationwide. The three meals available on the new menu include orange chicken, Mongolian beef and honey walnut shrimp or chicken.
“We are excited to offer our new Asian Favorites menu to our guests as we celebrate the holiday season and the beginning of a new year,” said Michelle Gothan, national marketing manager for Kahala Brands, parent company of Thai Express. “These three dishes are beloved by our guests and offer something different for everyone, whether experiencing for the first time or a go-to meal that’s ordered again and again.”
Wingstop introduced a limited-edition flavor of chicken sandwich to its menu: Carolina Gold BBQ, inspired by the traditions of the Carolinas.
“Wingstop’s Carolina Gold BBQ flavor maintains the classic queues of mustard, vinegar and brown sugar flavors that are true to its origins, but — in Wingstop fashion — our flavor stands out from the crowd,” said Chef Larry Bellah, director of culinary and R&D at Wingstop. “It’s heavier on the sweetness, making this flavor delectable and surprisingly craveable for even the biggest mustard skeptics. It’s a must try, especially on our Chicken Sandwich.”
Cold Stone Creamery added two ice cream flavors in time for the holiday season. The snickerdoodle caboodle features a blend of snickerdoodle cookie ice cream, cookie dough, sugar crystals cinnamon and caramel. The other new flavor is a blend of frozen hot chocolate ice cream, Oreo cookies, mini marshmallows and fudge.
White Castle debuted two seasonal menu items, including sloppy joes and Mac and Cheese Nibblers.
The Sloppy Joe Slider comes in three varieties: original and smoky. The original sloppy joe slider features ground beef, onions, tomatoes and bell peppers, while the Smoky Joe Slider is topped with smoked cheddar cheese and crispy onions, and the Spicy Joe Slider is topped with jalapeño cheese and jalapeño crisps.
The Mac and Cheese Nibblers are filled with cheese macaroni, then coated in a batter and fried until crispy.
“Sloppy Joe remains a favorite for many people because it is a hearty meal needed during the cold winter months,” said Jamie Richardson, vice president at White Castle. “Our Sloppy Joe Sliders and our Mac and Cheese Nibblers will provide comfort, just like a hug, that will warm you up all season long.”
Baskin-Robbins is bringing peppermint back as its flavor of the month, as well as introducing the peppermint cocoa shake. The peppermint ice cream flavor is made with peppermint candy pieces, and the peppermint cocoa shake is made with peppermint ice cream, whole milk and chocolate syrup.
