ENGLEWOOD CLIFFS, N.J. — Unilever P.L.C. is unleashing a spate of innovation across five of its ice cream and frozen treat brands: Magnum Ice Cream, Popsicle, Breyers, Klondike and Good Humor. The new products are all twists on the brands’ classic offerings.

“It’s been a lot of fun reimagining some of America’s favorite ice cream brands,” said Alfie Vivian, general manager for Unilever Refreshments. “We know people love ice cream, and it makes them happy. From snackable sizes to cookie and candy mix-ins to better-for-you choices, this summer we're introducing treats that will satisfy every ice cream lover.”

The Magnum brand is branching beyond bars with its new line of ice cream pints. The tubs feature ice cream encased in a chocolate cracking shell. Flavors include milk chocolate vanilla, dark chocolate raspberry, milk chocolate hazelnut and white chocolate vanilla.

Magnum ice cream tubThe dark chocolate raspberry tub, made with 65% cacao, includes raspberry ice cream and dark chocolate pieces all surrounded by a cracking Magnum dark chocolate shell.

The Magnum milk chocolate hazelnut tub combines hazelnut ice cream with caramelized hazelnuts and chocolate chunks all surrounded by a cracking Magnum chocolate shell.

Magnum’s white chocolate vanilla tub features vanilla ice cream and white chocolate shards all surrounded by a cracking white chocolate shell.

“Magnum tubs have reimagined Magnum’s classic ice cream bar as a scoopable treat,” Unilever said.

In addition to Magnum tubs, the brand is adding two new varieties to its Doubles ice cream bar line: double cherry truffle and mini double raspberry.

The double cherry truffle Magnum Doubles bar features cherry ice cream swirled with chocolate ganache that is dipped twice in a Belgian chocolate coating with a cherry sauce and milk chocolate.

The new mini double raspberry variety pairs raspberry ice cream dipped twice in a Belgian chocolate coating with a raspberry sauce and milk chocolate.

Unilever’s Popsicle brand is debuting a line of better-for-you varieties made with five ingredients: water, fruit, cane sugar, vitamin C and natural flavors. New Popsicle Fruit Pops contain fewer than 45 calories and 11 grams of sugar per pop and come in four flavors: Strawberry, mango, orange and raspberry.

Breyers 2in1 Reese's ice creamUnilever’s Breyers brand is launching a new line of dessert duos called Breyers2in1. The ice creams feature two kinds of cookies or two candy varieties swirled together with two ice cream flavors. Varieties include Oreo Chips Ahoy!, Reese’s Reese’s Pieces, Snickers M&M’s and Heath Waffle Cone.

Breyers2in1 Oreo Chips Ahoy! ice cream features vanilla ice cream loaded with Oreo cookie pieces swirled with caramel ice cream and pieces of Chips Ahoy! cookies.

The Reese’s Reese’s Pieces Breyers 2in1 variety contains peanut butter ice cream with pieces of Reese’s peanut butter cups swirled with chocolate ice cream and Reese’s Pieces candies.

The Snickers M&M’s ice cream includes caramel ice cream with pieces of Snickers candy bars swirled with chocolate ice cream and M&M’s Minis candies.

The Breyers 2in1 Heath Waffle Cone flavor features vanilla ice cream loaded with Heath toffee pieces swirled together with chocolate ice cream and fudge-covered waffle cone pieces.

“We know every sweet tooth is different, and choosing is hard, so we wanted to give our fans the best of both worlds — two favorite treats in one,” said Russel Lilly, marketing director of Breyers. “We’re excited to team up with these favorite candy and cookie brands. It’s a dessert that’s fun and everyone can agree on.”

The Breyers brand also is introducing Breyers delights Minis ice cream cups, featuring 70 to 80 calories and 5 grams of protein per 4-oz cup. The vanilla cupcake flavor is made with low-fat vanilla ice cream, cupcake batter and sprinkles and contains 80 calories per cup. The creamy chocolate variety features chocolate ice cream made with real cocoa and weighs in at 70 calories per cup.

Klondike Minis Reese's, Unilever“We know consumers are looking for simple, delicious snacks,” said Pete Harbour, marketing director for Breyers. “Breyers delights Minis provide convenience with benefits like protein and reduced calories for ice cream fans. With Breyers delights, we’ve made it easier than ever to open up, scoop down to the bottom and indulge without all the guilt.”

Also opting for smaller sizes, Klondike is introducing a tiny twist on its classic stick-less bars. New Klondike Minis are snack-sized treats available in original and Reese’s varieties, featuring vanilla ice cream or Reese's flavored ice cream in a thick chocolate shell.

Also collaborating with Reese’s, Unilever’s Good Humor brand is adding a new Reese’s Dessert Bar to its lineup. The treat is a dessert bar blended with Reese’s peanut butter sauce and covered in signature Good Humor cake coating.
