Parsippany, NJ — Beneo expanded its chicory root fiber and rice starch ingredient portfolio with the introduction of Remyline O AX DR and Orafti Organic.

Remyline O AX DR is an organic waxy rice starch that delivers stability and less syneresis, making it easier to maintain a stable texture throughout a product’s shelf life, the company said. It is suitable for fruit preparations, meat and poultry applications and may improve the texture of creamy desserts and yogurts.

“The launch of Beneo’s new organic waxy rice starch is an important milestone for us as it means we can now offer our customers organic variants for both our waxy and regular rice starches,” said Etienne Denis, commercial managing director of specialty rice ingredients at Beneo. “We see great potential for this new solution, especially within meat and poultry, as consumers worldwide place special emphasis on organic products when buying meat.”

Orafti Organic is an organic variant of Beneo’s chicory root fiber. The natural prebiotic fiber improves taste and texture and allows for fat and sugar reduction in applications across dairy, cereals, bakery and confectionery.

The two ingredients were showcased at ShIFT20, the virtual expo hosted by the Institute of Food Technologists July 13-15.
