KANSAS CITY — Seasonal sips are spilling into supermarkets for the upcoming holiday season.

The Coca-Cola Co. is kicking off the holidays with the return of Sprite Winter Spiced Cranberry and the launch of new Sprite Winter Spiced Cranberry Zero Sugar. The beverage blends the lemon-lime flavor of Sprite with a warm spice blend and tart cranberry flavors. Sweetened with aspartame and acesulfame potassium, the drink contains no calories or sugar.

“We continue to listen to our fans, who love the taste of Sprite Winter Spiced Cranberry but have been asking for a zero-calorie version, by taking steps to provide options for everyone during the holiday season,” said Emily Hecker, associate brand manager of sparkling flavors at Coca-Cola.

Red Bull GmbH is unveiling its new seasonal flavor: Red Bull Winter Edition Pomegranate. The energy beverage features the flavors of pomegranate with notes of sour cherry and red berries. An 8.4-oz can contains 110 calories, 80 mg of caffeine, 26 grams of sugar, taurine and B-group vitamins.

Talking Rain Beverage Co. is adding a new flavor to its Sparkling Ice beverage portfolio for the holidays. New Sparkling Ice Apple Cider is made with sparkling water, fruit flavor, vitamins, antioxidants and naturally sourced colors. Available for a limited time, the drink contains no sugar per 17-oz bottle.
