ATLANTA — The Coca-Cola Co. has appointed Thomas S. Gayner as a director to the company’s board of directors. The company also has elected Henrique Braun as its corporate senior vice president.

In addition to joining The Coca-Cola Co., Mr. Gayner is also the chief executive officer of Markel Group, a holding company with operations in insurance, services, and industrial operations, from 2016 through 2022. Mr. Gayner received a bachelor’s degree in commerce from the University of Virginia.

 Mr. Braun has been the company’s president of international development since the beginning of 2023 and joined Coca-Cola in 1996. In his role, Mr. Braun oversees the company’s operating units for Latin America, Japan and South Korea; ASEAN and South Pacific; Greater China and Mongolia; Africa; India and Southwest Asia; and Eurasia and Middle East.

Mr. Braun received his degree in agricultural engineering from the University Federal of Rio de Janeiro, a master’s of science degree from Michigan State University and a master’s degree in business administration from Georgia State University.
