HAMBURG, GERMANY — Plant-based alternatives manufacturer Planteneers has opened a new office in Aurora, Ill. The company’s sales, distribution, marketing specialists, product managers and R&D technologists will be housed in the new location.

In addition to the office, the Germany-based company is constructing a customer excellence center in Aurora. The center is expected to open next summer.

With the addition of new locations, the company is expanding its applications technology team.

“Plant-based is more and more important on the North American market,” said Gretchen Moon, vice president of commercial operations for North America at Planteneers. “New, innovative products that are increasingly similar to conventional animal products will be easier for consumers to integrate into their daily lives since they fit existing habits. At our new location with production, R&D, and the upcoming customer center, we can address customer-specific requirements for the US market even better.”
