KANSAS CITY — Beverage innovations are making a splash on restaurant menus.

Starbucks is offering new Cold Brew Coffee, which uses a completely different brewing technique than iced beverages, which are made by pouring the hot brew over ice. Cold Brew Coffee is steeped in cool water for 20 hours to create a smooth, rich brew with notes of chocolate and citrus.

Looking to provide a serving of fruit and vegetables to customers, Jamba Juice is introducing two new smoothies: the Amazing Greens smoothie and the Ginger and Greens smoothie.

Chick-fil-A combined two favorites to create its new Frosted Lemonade, which swirls together fresh-squeezed lemonade and Icedream vanilla soft serve. The idea originally came from Chick-fil-A team members who made the concoction during their breaks.
