KANSAS CITY — As temperatures outside get colder, new menu offerings are getting hotter.
Sriracha is the source of heat for Wendy’s new menu items. The chain’s new Spicy Sriracha Chicken Sandwich, served on a toasted sriracha-infused bun, features sriracha aioli, thick-cut applewood smoked bacon and sriracha Jack cheese piled atop a Wendy’s Spicy Chicken filet, which provides a spicy kick from a mix of black pepper, chili pepper and mustard seed. Wendy’s new Bacon Sriracha Fries feature applewood smoked bacon, cheddar cheese sauce and a creamy sriracha aioli on a bed of natural-cut sea salt french fries.

“Sriracha lovers have an irrational love for the sauce, so we knew we had to find a way to properly honor that devotion with the Spicy Sriracha Chicken Sandwich,” said Carl Loredo, vice-president of marketing and advertising at Wendy’s. “We did more than just spread or drizzle sriracha on a chicken sandwich. We went all in and infused sriracha in the entire sandwich — delivering the maximum amount of flavor from the first bite until the last.”
Jack in the Box is dialing up the heat with its new Pepper Jack Ranch Spicy Chicken Sandwich. The hot handheld features crispy, spicy all-white meat chicken topped with pepper jack cheese, spicy ranch sauce, four strips of bacon, lettuce and sliced tomatoes sandwiched between a buttery bun.
Taco John’s is spicing up the season with new Chicken Queso Nachos Navidad. The dish features queso, shredded cheese, refried beans, grilled chicken, poblano peppers, pico de gallo and jalapeños on a bed of red and green tortilla chips.Click for a slideshow of new menu items.
