KANSAS CITY — With Valentine’s Day around the corner, foodservice locations are expanding their menus with sweet treats.

Cold Stone Creamery added fudge truffle ice cream and Mike’s Hot Honey ice cream flavors to its locations. The fudge truffle ice cream can be combined with brownies, fudge and whipped topping, and the Mike’s Hot Honey ice cream can be combined with brownies, pecans and Mike’s Hot Honey.

“This Valentine's season at Cold Stone we’re doing two of our favorite things,” said Jana Schneider, vice president of national programs at Kahala Brands, parent company of Cold Stone Creamery. “We're bringing back a flavor our ice cream lovers can’t get enough of, fudge truffle ice cream, and we’re innovating ice cream yet again with the launch of a Mike’s Hot Honey ice cream. There is truly a treat for everyone, and every kind of love, this Valentine’s Day. We’re excited for our guests to share the ice cream they love with the people they love.”

Hardee’s is bringing back its heart-shaped biscuits for Valentine’s Day.

“There’s no better articulation of this love than our heart-shaped biscuits to celebrate Valentine's Day — a seasonal twist on our iconic breakfast items,” said Regina Schneider, senior vice president of marketing of Hardee’s. “We love seeing how this returning favorite brightens our guests’ days and encourages them to spread the love with family and friends.”

Baskin-Robbins also is bringing back its Love Potion #31 flavor, which features a combination of white chocolate and raspberry-flavored ice creams, raspberry-filled chocolate-flavored hearts, raspberry swirls and chocolate chips.

“Love Potion #31 has captured hearts for more than 20 years, and it continues to be one of our most requested seasonal scoops,” said Jeanne Bolger, director of culinary development for Baskin-Robbins.
