MONTREAL  — Lallemand Bio-Ingredients has expanded its Engevita brand with the addition of a garlic Parmesan style powder. The powder blends flavors of garlic and Parmesan cheese for such applications as snacking, sauces, batters, and ready meals.

Lallemand said the powder offers a shelf-stable, microbiologically controlled formulation and provides kosher and halal certifications.

The company’s Engevita brand is a whole-food cultured inactive nutritional yeast derived from primary-grown Saccharomyces cerevisiae, according to the company.
