For the first time, KFC is bringing its chizza item to menus in the United States. Pronounced “cheet-za,” the menu item features two white meat extra crispy fried chicken filets, topped with marinara sauces, melted mozzarella and pepperoni. Chizza first debuted on KFC menus in the Philippines in 2015, and has moved to menus throughout Korea, Taiwan, India, Thailand, Germany, Spain and Mexico, among others, and starting Feb. 26, consumers in the United States can purchase chizza.
“Fried chicken and pizza collaborated to create something even better — the Chizza,” said Nick Chavez, chief marketing officer at KFC US. “The fan-favorite mashup is finally available in the US after making its way around the world — try it while you can.”

The brand’s take on an empanada, the cheesy chicken crispanada features melted cheese, chicken and a blend of Mexican spices, all in a crunchy shell. The crispanada first underwent testing in Tennessee markets in early 2023, “sparking excitement among fans and leading to its nationwide debut,” according to the company.
