KANSAS CITY — With the seasons changing once again, food manufacturers are expanding with their latest limited-edition innovations.
Hidden Valley Ranch and Kellanova’s Cheez-It brand have teamed up to launch a limited-edition ranch flavor: Cheezy Ranch. Made for dipping, the ranch features the classic zesty ranch flavor, combined with cheese.
Cheezy Ranch is the first new flavor to hit shelves for Hidden Valley, which also will launch garlic, Nashville hot, creamy jalapeño, spicy hot honey, green goddess and Parmesan ranch flavors later this spring.
“Ranch fans never cease to amaze us with their creative twists on Hidden Valley Ranch,” said CC Ciafone, marketing director at Hidden Valley Ranch. “When we caught wind of them combining the irresistible flavors of Hidden Valley Ranch with Cheez-It crackers, we were blown away. We couldn’t be more thrilled to make this dream collaboration a reality.”
Aura Bora announced its latest limited-edition flavor: pineapple holy basil. The sparkling water features a tart and sweet pineapple flavor, paired with a slightly minty and herbaceous holy basil.
The Campbell Soup Co. debuted its first-ever limited-edition condensed soup flavor: tomato soup that has been “infused with the flavors of a grilled cheese sandwich.” The soup can be prepared with water for a stronger tomato flavor or with milk for a cheesier flavor, according to the company.
“Grilled cheese and tomato soup has always been perfect together,” said Gary Mazur, vice president of soup and broth at Campbell’s Meals and Beverages division. “It is a classic pairing for all generations, and it has drawn increasing fandom in recent years.”
